In that time we have learned that no two garages are alike: the opening, the driveway and the house are different every time. That is why we build every door to measure, and why we ask a lot of questions before we build it.
The two doors differ in more than looks. They open differently, so they need different amounts of space in front of the garage and under the ceiling. Decide this first.
The door is made of horizontal panels. When it opens, the panels rise vertically and then run back under the ceiling. Nothing swings out in front of the house, so you can park right up against the door.

A single rigid leaf. As it opens, the bottom edge swings outwards and the whole leaf tilts up under the ceiling. The construction is simple. While it opens, the door needs clear space in front of it.
